ARF
does not have a facility to house rescued dogs, so until we
do we must rely on help from volunteers to provide foster homes.
Foster homes are very important in the socialization process of
a rescue. The dog is in a home environment with people,
children and other animals, which helps make them an adoptable
pet. ARF provides the vet care and food while the foster
home provides daily care, exercise and especially love and
companionship. A fenced yard is a requirement to be a
foster home. We also request the foster home be willing to
transport the dog to/from the vet and viewing locations when
needed.
If you have room in your heart and home to provide a
temporary home for a rescue, please come by Animal House to complete
a Foster Home Questionnaire or call ARF at 918-766-0991 to
request one to be mailed to you.
A home visit is required, as well as a signed Foster Home
Agreement.
